what we offer

Canvas and Craft Studio is a community arts and crafts studio founded by a mother and daughter duo. We specialise in providing a welcoming space for creativity through weekly workshops in painting, sewing, and other fun and trendy crafts. We would love to host your event, including crafting parties like paint and sip, kids birthdays, baby showers and kitchen tea parties for friends, families, and corporate groups. We also offer a selection of curated craft kits and provide a dedicated open studio space for artists and crafters to work on their own projects.

Why Canvas and Craft Studio?

When the stars aligned and a cosy corner property in Tableview became available, we knew it was the perfect moment to bring our vision to life. Canvas and Craft Studio was created as a community space where people can learn, play, and connect through creativity.

With the growing popularity of favourites like Paint & Sip evenings and Clay Café, we saw the need for an affordable, welcoming venue where people could gather, host parties, and celebrate life’s moments in creative ways.

Our studio offers a vibrant, accessible space to explore new crafts, unwind, and make memories together.

Meet the Artist

Jo-Anne is a Cape Town–based artist who discovered her passion for painting later in life and turned it into a lifelong journey of creativity. Inspired by the beauty, people, and culture of South Africa, she works mainly in oils, capturing “moments in time” through her art. As co-founder of Canvas and Craft Studio, Jo-Anne’s vision is to create a space where artists and photographers can grow, where the next generation can discover art, and where people can connect and celebrate creativity together.
